Showerman carries SOF support to Concordia

Shakespeare Oxford Fellowship trustee Earl Showerman, MD, said today that he will serve as interim director for the Richard Paul and Jane Roe Shakespeare Authorship Research Centre  (SARC) annual Shakespeare authorship studies conference at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon on April 11-13, 2014. Acting as ambassador for the Shakespeare Oxford Fellowship board of trustees, Showerman traveled to Portland this week to confer with Dr. David Kluth -- dean of the Concordia University College of Theology, Arts and Sciences -- who is acting as interim director of SARC since the center's founder and director Daniel Wright, PhD, is no longer employed by the university. Showerman reports on Toronto conference

Earl Showerman reported on the Shakespeare authorship conference to be held in Toronto October 17-20, 2013: North America’s two leading Oxfordian associations – the Shakespeare Fellowship and the Shakespeare Oxford Society – are pleased to announce that their  2013 Joint Conference will take place in  Toronto ,  Canada  from October 17 to 20, 2013 . Showerman says teach authorship at local universities lifelong learning programs

by Linda Theil Shakespeare Fellowship trustee and immediate past president Earl Showerman  kicked off his fourth year teaching the Shakespeare authorship question at Southern Oregon University’s Osher Lifelong LearningInstitute with a class titled,  titled, " The Shakespeare Authorship Challenge: State of the Debate 2013" . Following the first day of class on April 17, 2013, Showerman said: I have about 20 in class, half-of-whom are already converts. Not exactly preaching to the converted, but it is fun to see how people really light up when they get an idea about what is at stake and the terms of the discussion. . . . Showerman will teach authorship class at SOU in May 2012

According to an article titled "Dr. Bill? Retired physician says medical lingo betrays Shakespeare" in the March 12, 2012 issue of Ashland Daily Tidings , Shakespeare Fellowship President Earl Showerman will teach a class called "The Shakespeare Authorship Question" from May 8 through June 5 at Southern Oregon University's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. SF weighs in on Anonymous and Prince Tudor

Shakespeare Fellowship president Earl Showerman reported Tuesday (June 14, 2011) that the fellowship has issued a statement about Roland Emmerich's upcoming film on the Shakespeare authorship question, Anonymous . Showerman said: A majority of the trustees of the Shakespeare Fellowship recently approved  a statement regarding the anticipated plot of Roland Emmerich's feature film, Anonymous. This statement will be published later this year in  Shakespeare Matters, the newsletter of the Shakespeare Fellowship. The entire statement is available on the Shakespeare Fellowship News page under the title "SF board re: Prince Tudor: The Shakespeare Fellowship commends Roland Emmerich for directing the film, Anonymous, but stresses that this production’s 'Prince Tudor' narratives are not essential to the theory that the Earl of Oxford was the writer 'Shakespeare.'"
